Start with your business and audience
Write down what your business does, who it serves and where people will encounter the brand. Identify the first applications you need, such as a website, storefront, social profile or packaging. This gives the designer a practical brief.
Define a useful visual identity
A visual identity can include a primary logo, secondary versions or a submark, a color palette, typography and usage guidance. Agree which elements belong in your package. A visual identity does not automatically include naming, trademark registration, website development or copywriting.
Prioritize the applications you will use
List the materials required for launch and separate them from later additions. Check dimensions and production requirements before designing print or packaging files. Choose collateral within the agreed scope rather than assuming every application is included.
Review and hand over
Give consolidated feedback against the agreed brief. After approval, check file names, formats and usage guidance, and save the final files securely. At Mr. Editor, project work starts after verified payment and a complete brief; the detailed discovery work happens after payment approval.
